Key Findings
Grade Distribution
Out of 322 sites audited, not a single one earned an A grade. The majority cluster in the C and D range.
Category Averages
Sites perform unevenly across categories. Technical infrastructure is solid; agent discovery and protocol adoption lag far behind.
Protocol Adoption
Agent-readiness protocols remain almost entirely unadopted. llms.txt is the only signal with meaningful presence.
What's New in Rubric v2.0
May 2026 is the first edition scored under rubric v2.0, which introduces a new Auth & Access category (20% of total score, 16 checks across 4 buckets).
The category evaluates whether a site can serve authenticated agents: login-wall detection, session/token flows, OAuth support, and API key provisioning. Early results show the vast majority of sites score near 0 — most web infrastructure wasn't built with agent authentication in mind.
This is the frontier. Sites that invest early in agent-compatible auth will have a structural advantage as AI agent traffic grows.
